The Simple kind of Love

Its been over three years since my last blog. There was a strong urge to blog...and voila!  Here I am!!   The write-ups used to be about my life as a Marine Wife, but a lot has happened since my last post. Proud mother of a two year old baby girl, parent to two boxer pups, business owner and still a marine wife....our family is growing into one with an extraordinary perspective! Until my child grows up to blog, I feel it is my responsibility to share this perspective on behalf of our family.

A few things have happened in the past several months that keep pointing to the concept of Love. First, in our effort to extend a helping hand in the community, we were told by an absolutely stranger we would be considered elitists and not be appreciated.  Secondly, at the end of a very long day of bickering with my two year old...she tells me "I sorry Mommy for fighting like you". (She confuses her "with" and "like" in this stage of speech).  Thirdly, my marine is still struggling with a shoulder that has not healed since surgery over a year ago.  Fourthly, we have friends that have carried us through this year and become family. Fifthly, we have family that has turned away from us due to the overpowering sincerity in our love.

As much as I like to whine about things, I am humbled by the pure love we share in our family.  The truth of the matter is, God believed in our love from the get-go and He has poured into our family a kind of love that is simple and contagious. I am proud that our child is a constant reminder of how much faith God has in this family. I am convinced it is this love that keeps our marine from succumbing to his pain on a daily basis.  It also attracts the good people into our lives and scares away the rest. At the end of the day, it is this simple love that has kept us going five years strong and we will surely survive the many years ahead.

We believe in love without any expectations, love that is giving, and uplifting. Love that provides shelter and freedom to be all you can be.  Love that is honest and true. Both individuals and businesses need this kind of love. It should be the foundation of any kind of relationship...any kind of structure.  Only when we approach someone (or something) with love, can it be successful.

In all my imperfections, my policy in life has always been love. And God has made it my motto...thanks to my family.

Love Simply.

A loving Ms. P.
